SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Job Title: Social Media Coordinator

Reporting to: PR Manager & Executive Director 

Requirements as a LymeTV member:

  • Must dedicate a minimum of 10 hours each month as a non board member
  • Must attend all quarterly board meetings and the yearly team meeting
  • Must promote LymeTV in a positive way on social media. If sharing facts on social media that LymeTV posted, the organization must be referenced as a source
  • Must share a minimum of one post in the month of May for Lyme Disease Awareness month to help spread awareness 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience preferably in a marketing, advertising, or communications setting 
  • Expertise in leading social media campaigns and managing multiple social media platforms at one time
  • High proficiency in using web/social monitoring tools
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Experience developing specific social media campaigns to reach and exceed stated goals
  • Must have experience with Instagram and Facebook, LinkedIn experience a plus 
  • Social media advertising background is preferred, not required 

Responsibilities

  • Play an active role in content creation and overall implementation of social media strategy 
  • Conceptualize strategic and creative campaigns and develop content to support campaigns 
    • Ex: Fundraising events, Lyme Disease Awareness Month, contests, etc. 
  • Assist with keeping social media accounts active and up to date
  • Engage on posts with polls, comments, likes, and responses to direct messages 
  • Drive traffic to newsletters and LymeTV.org
  • Create segmented communications based on target demographic groups 
  • Generate reports for all social media metrics for PR Manager
  • Act as the key liaison between other brands who collaborate with LymeTV
